Internship Program at UNHCR Tokyo Office Protection Unit

 


<プログラム期間> 原則として6ヶ月間可能な方、週4日以上
<募集人数> 若干名
<応募資格>
1) 原則として大学院修了、または在学中
2)国際法・国際人権法・国際政治学・政治学・社会福祉(ソーシャルワーク)等を先行し、日本国内の難民問題に関法心のある方
3) 日本語(文章能力)と英語に堪能な方
4) 分析力、コミュニケーションスキルに自信のある方
5)MS Word, Excel, Access等を使って仕事のできる方
6)NGOなどにおけるボランティア等の活動経験があれば尚可

<仕事内容>
Tasks:
-Research on the situation in the countries of origin of asylum-seekers
-Research on state practice (jurisprudence and asylum system in other countries);
-Assist protection staff in translation of documents, including legal and policy documents
-Assist protection staff in coordinating with NGOs and arranging legal/social assistance for refugees and
asylum-seekers
-Assist protection staff in organizing training sessions, lectures and other events
-Maintain individual case database and statistics
-Other administrative tasks of the Protection Unit
-Perform other related tasks as requested.

Internship Program at UNHCR Tokyo Office Protection Unit

Duration: In principle six months, 4 days per week
Number of posts: Few
Qualifications:
1) In principle, those who have completed graduate studies or those enrolled in a graduate program
2)Those who have majored in international law, international human rights law, International politics and Social Work etc., and who are interested in refugee issues in Japan
3)Fluency in Japanese (with effective writing skills) and English
4)Analytical/Communication skills
5)Computer skills
6)Volunteering work in an NGO is a plus.

Tasks:

Conditions:
Unpaid internship (commutation expenses up to a limited amount covered)
